Jose Hess is a German-born master goldsmith, designer, and gemologist. He is known for possessing a talent for original and contemporary jewelry. Hess focuses on creating popular branded collections while mentoring emerging jewelry designers at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. He is also a consultant to jewelry firms in the U.S. and abroad, working to revamp their design and manufacturing techniques. He has been honored with many awards, including the prestigious De Beers Diamonds International Award. Hess describes his work as follows: “My design concept is the combination of elegance and simplicity with a futuristic approach. The main ingredients are logic, harmony, and sentiment.”
