Platinum Double Horse Shoe Vintage Old Cut Diamond Brooch

Platinum Double Horse Shoe Vintage Brooch. Mounted with 23 carats of antique diamonds over filigree frame. The brooch has a beautiful open layout made in a shape of a double horse shoe connected in the middle. The diamonds are of a nice light warm color and of a funky irregular shape. Old cut diamonds are recognisable by their round outline, fair symmetry, high crown, small table, circular girdle, large facets and in many cases, a flat and polished culet. They also tend towards deeply cut proportions, making them appear thicker than round brilliant cuts.

Hand fabricated in platinum this lovely openwork confection measures about 3 inches wide.
